CSI investigator Barry Allen has awakened from a coma nine months after being struck by lightning. Upon waking, he discovers he has gained superhuman speed. Allen's newfound powers will be put to the test as the first season of the series follows him as he tracks down the criminals responsible for the explosion at STAR Labs that gave him his powers.

Mark Mardon returns with a vengeance

Complicating Allen's mission is the return of Mark Mardon, a former criminal who now possesses the same weather-manipulation powers as his brother, the late Clyde Mardon. Mardon seeks revenge on Joe West, Allen's father figure, for Clyde's death.
