German Midfielder to Step Away After Illustrious Career
Real Madrid and Germany star Toni Kroos has announced his retirement from professional football, effective at the end of the current season.
The 34-year-old midfielder, who has played for Real Madrid since 2014, made the announcement in a statement released on social media.
Kroos began his career with Bayern Munich, where he won five Bundesliga titles, three DFB-Pokals, and the UEFA Champions League in 2013.
After joining Real Madrid, Kroos continued his success, winning five more Champions League titles, three La Liga titles, and two Copa del Reys.
